The pieces of work above are by Chris Bebbington. He graduated from the North Wales School of Art & Design in 2001 and has exhibited nationally and internationally. Since 2002 he had been employed as lecturer/ demonstrator in digital video and photography at the University of Chester.
His passion in photography stated with an Olympus OM10 some 30 years ago, a hobby which has never left but became more of an career since 2001.
His interests include traditional landscape and portrait photograph, where the natural beauty and seduction of light play an important role in the construction of the desired final capture of the image. He is particularly inspired by the Old Master painters Caravaggio, Rembrandt and Turner. "However, from time to time you observe something that you wish to share. The images exhibited here are quite different from my normal photography".

Chairs of S'illot 1-8, 2013
Digital Photographs
"Some years ago, upon frequent visits to this location, i started to notice the random chairs facing doorways in the streets of this residential area in the small holiday resort of S'illot, Majorca. Whatever time of day you pass, these chairs remained positioned and unoccupied and appear to serve no purpose - so much so that you stop noticing them after a while.
The Chairs of S'illot in my eyes are strange and thought-provoking event, which I've only witnessed in such great numbers in S'illot. I'm charmed by their existence and always try to guess their reasoning and purpose." - CHRIS BEBBINGTON
