Today I went to an exhibition that was at the town hall in St Helens. This Exhibition consisted of creative recycling and art pieces.
Here is a link to the Passsoul Studio - www.passsoul.co.uk

This studio was created almost five years ago in Newton-Le-Willows and registered as a Community Interest Company in June 2013. It is co-funded and co-directed by Paula Pietrzk, who is a visual arts and crafts practitioner. Passsoul's Practice involves transforming discarded wooden furniture into functional contemporary design objects using a range of traditional and experimental techniques. They seek to make work that is environmentally conscious, directly addressing the impacts of consumerism and highlighting key ecological concerns. To date, they have created 180 pieces of furniture and other objects made with reclaimed wood.
The Soul Vessel Collection 2017, is the second exhbition that Passsoul Studio's have done.

When I went to the exhibition, I was intrigued by all the pieces that were created.

Piece Called – Chest of Drawers, Seaside 2017I went to this exhibition to view work by Passsoul Studio and Its Students. This piece that I have chosen fits in what I started during this summer project. I have started to look at various shaped/ type of shells and I started to draw and paint them using various techniques. These techniques had included pencil, fine liner and marker drawings and water colour paints. Plus I did some blind drawing. Here is a link to the Passsoul Studio - www.passsoul.co.ukThis studio was created almost five years ago in Newton-Le-Willows and registered as a Community Interest Company in June 2013. I may use the hanging shells and the colours that are used in this piece in my own work as inspiration.

Piece – Screen, Vision Simulator 2016
This is a piece of work from an exhibition by Passsoul Studios and Its Students. I really like this screen that they have created with the colours and the designs. The way that the design goes all across the four panels is really good and intriguing. There are two different designs but the same colour scheme on the two sides. There is an eye on one side in a triangle with lines going out like sun rays and the other side it has a grid feature which has patterns, shapes and letters in it. There are many different aspects to this piece I can work with like the patterns and the colours. It would be good to see if it comes to it, have several panels going across and attached with a pattern all over it. I would be good if this style would go across canvases or paper in a final piece.
