Graphic Design is... (FINAL PROJECT OF 2ND YEAR - EXHIBITION)

For this final project i had to create a visual piece that communicates, promotes, explains, or demystifies any aspect of graphic design. The final piece may showcase a process, explain an element of typography, show the role a designer plays in everyday life or promote a designs work. My final piece will collectively from an exhibition, which intends to inspire and encourage school leavers to consider design as a future career path. For the final piece i had to create a quote about graphic design myself.

I played around with what quotes i could use, i did look at other quotes and i thought what does graphic design mean to me. I started to do a list of quotes that i created that i could use in the final piece for this project:

• Make all the designs blend together.

• Don't be complicated. Simple is better.

• Imagination come to life.

• Used in a wide range of media and mediums.

• Don't throw away that design, it could be worth something.

• Make your voice heard. Visually.

• Don't be afraid to fail when it's an essential part of creativity.

From these quotes that i started to list i created some pieces of work that i could use as a final piece. I used photoshop to blend and overlap texts. I have also inverted them.
