SUMMARY OF BRIEF

I need to create packaging for a new brand of tea which shows my personality including belief and values.

It can include multiple functions and it needs to be appropriate for it.

I need to consider:

• Size, weight, shape, stack-ability (Also form and function).

• Materials, properties and processes

Restrictions:

Bauhaus principles theories only use,

• Red, yellow, blue, black and white.

• shapes - circle, square and triangle.

• families - Bauhaus, Futura and Universal

BLACK AND WHITE

I looked at the cultural, global, symbolic and natural meaning of these two colours.

DESIGNS FOR NETS

I used various nets to create designs so I could figure out which route might I go down and what net to use.

The route that I went down was the use of circles. i felt that i suited my personality.

I wanted to come up with a name and logo for the brand of tea that I was going to do packaging for.

This was the name that I was going with. I wanted to use the typeface of the Bauhaus.

Next I chose the net that I wanted to use, which I did some designs with circles and with some with the name of the brand of tea.

These where the logos that I created to see which one I liked.

I used a similar final design for all of my final packaging but they are different to one another because they are for different flavours.

Conclusion

For this project I played around with many nets to figure which one will fit in with my own tea brand. I played around with different shapes, sizes and materials. I used a net which needed no glue to hold it together. It had curves which went well with the brand that I created. I produced three different packaging; they only had different colours for the different flavours. The three fitted in with the Bauhaus colours.
